Volunteer Appreciation Day

Engaging in volunteer work is an expression of altruism and a practice of the first perfection, Dāna Pāramitā (the perfection of generosity), in the Mahayana Six Perfections. It is also one of the spiritual practices that Master Sheng Yen highly emphasized for his disciples.
DDM Chicago will be hosting a Dharma Protector Volunteer Gathering on June 29. The event will include reports from committee members on the volunteer structure of DDM Chicago, getting to know each other, volunteer recognition, and ice breaking activities.
