About the Teacher:

Gilbert Gutierrez has over forty years of experience in meditation, which began with training in martial arts and Qi Gong. In 2002, he received Dharma transmission from Chan Master Sheng Yen. Gilbert teaches in the classical Chan tradition, inspiring his students to investigate Mind through diligent practice and Right View, so that wisdom and compassion may arise and the nature of Mind be revealed. Gilbert’s teaching style is at once casual, humorous, accessible, and profound. Drawing on everyday life experiences as well as the teachings of the great Chan masters, he presents the Dharma in a way that is both practical and deeply transformative.
